Wimberley Is the Place to Be... Something for Everyone on the 4th of July Weekend!

The 4th of July is a great time to be in Wimberley, Texas!
Starting with the annual VFW Rodeo on Thursday, the 2nd, the fun is nonstop through the weekend.
The Wimberley VFW Pro Rodeo is featured for three nights, there's swimming at Blue Hole in the daytime (conditions permitting), a first-run feature movie at the Corral Theatre, a 4th of July Parade and Jubilee on Friday, and Wimberley Market Day on Saturday.

4th of July weekend has always been packed with fun and things to do in Wimberley. This year offers visitors (and residents) a choice of activities guaranteed to bring smiles and memories for a lifetime.
Worried about the heat? Don't. For fun in the water, visit the Blue Hole, open to the public for the 4th of July extended weekend. Be sure to confirm that the area is open for swimming before planning this activity. Click here for details.
How about a tour of the only commercially producing olive grove and olive mill in the
Hill Country, complete with winery, tasting room and gift shop where you can get hand-crafted

See a first run movie at the one and only Corral Theatre. Watching the stars under the stars is a memorable experience for the whole family. Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings are show nights. Read more about the Corral here.
Saturday dawns bright and early at the local Wimberley Market Day and other area markets. Click here to see Market Days and Farmers Markets across the area.
Then there's the Hill Country tradition, the Annual Pro-Open Wimberley VFW Rodeo, held this year on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. It's always at the VFW Rodeo Grounds on Jacob's Well Road. Visit the official Rodeo website here to enjoy years of photos and get program details.
On Friday, the 3rd, the annual Wimberley parade rolls down RR 12 at 10 AM and the Jubilee is held in the afternoon. Plan to come on out and watch the parade, grab a hat, bring a chair and your friends. Enjoy the parade online with five years of parade slideshows here.
