Wimberley Valley Art League Features Wimberley Area Artists in Holiday Show and Sale
Easy Rider, Oil by Betty Rhodes

The 2006 Holiday Art Show was held on Friday and Saturday November 10th and 11th, 2006 at the Wimberley Community Center in Wimberley, Texas.

This annual event provides an opportunity to enjoy the work of area artists and do a little early holiday shopping!
The Wimberley Valley Art League's 13th Annual Show and Sale of original fine art was on Friday and Saturday, November 10th and 11th, 2006 at the Wimberley Community Center at 14050 Ranch Road 12. Times were Friday from 10 AM to 8 PM, Saturday from 10 to 3, with a reception on Friday from 5 to 8. This event was free to the public.

This Texas Hill Country art show and sale is a holiday tradition in Wimberley, with 50 or more member artists providing original paintings, photographs, sculptures, pottery and ceramic arts, wood carvings, textile art, jewelry and glass. No ordinary trade show of holiday bric-a-brac, this exciting and professional display is one in which each work is the product of an accomplished artist, many of whom are featured in well-known galleries.
Warm Memories of Shady Pond, Oil by Lilli Pell

The world famous modern art collection of Peggy Guggenheim, housed in her former villa on the banks of the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy, was put together one piece at a time, as she purchased works of art that appealed to her, often from emerging artists before they were acclaimed.

Don't miss this annual opportunity to purchase original works of art for yourself or for gifts. A portion of the proceeds goes to support the educational outreach of the Wimberley Art League's nonprofit organization promoting the arts in the Hill Country for over twenty years.
