There's a frost in the air as a crowd of people gather underneath the flagpole on top of a high hill in Wimberley. The sky above. The earth below. The thrill of anticipation. A gathering of faith. The lighting of the Menorah. The breaking of the fast of Ramadan. The songs of Christmas.
On Saturday, November 26th, the Emily Ann Theatre's Tree Lighting ceremony officially opens the Trail of Lights. All of these images are brought together as the local community gathers to greet the holidays uniting their hopes for peace during this season of ultimate love.
The Trail of Lights runs through December 31st, bringing in the New Year. The trail is open Sunday through Thursday from dusk until 9 PM, Friday and Saturday from dusk until 10. Visiting the Trail of Lights is a fun and safe way to view Christmas lights on a walking tour that leads visitors through six acres of decorated Wonderland with Ye Olde Yule Log burning nightly as weather permits.
There is no admission to the Trail of Lights, however donations are gratefully accepted. This is a walking trail, and it is not wheelchair accessible, but we do have golf carts for handicapped individuals. It is also possible to unload people at the Yule Log. Contact our office if you will need assistance and we will be there to help you! We also have portable restroom facilities including one that is wheelchair accessible.
Come enjoy the lights...once or many times... and bring your friends and family any evening from the Saturday after Thanksgiving to New Years Day!
