Plum Creek Golf Course - From 6:00pm - 9:00pm, the pre-show celebration at the PCGC Clubhouse is free to the public and includes live music and fantastic viewing. Hot dogs and cold drinks will be sold under the large tent, along with other snacks. Parking at the golf course is available for a donation to the Kyle Masonic Lodge. Walk ins welcome. No outside food or drink permitted on the golf course property.

Hays CISD PAC (Performing Arts Center) Star Spangled Event - With ample parking and a great view of the fireworks,Starlight-Star Spangled July 4th Celebration. The Starlight Symphony Orchestra will perform at the annual Hays CISD Star Spangled July 4th Celebration. The event will take place on the front lawn of the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center (979 Kohler's Crossing, Kyle, TX). The evening begins at 7:00 pm with the local top of the line Americana Blue Water Highway Band and then at around 8:15pm the Starlight Symphony Orchestra begins with patriotic favorites such as Irving Berlin's God Bless America. Patriotic pieces such as the “Star Spangled Banner” “Stars and Stripes Forever,” and “God Bless America” are sure to unite, while other pieces such as “Liberty for All” will be a special treat as a beautiful choir and fantastic narrator join the symphony. “Salute to Armed Forces” pays tribute to the brave men and women serving our country and brings out our country’s pride. Bring blankets and lawn chairs for a magical and entertaining evening of fun. No alcohol permitted on school grounds.

Time of Fireworks - When it gets dark enough, around 9:30pm on July 4th, the fireworks show will launch from the Plum Creek Golf Course.
Parking & Viewing - Find a spot early enough to see the tall water tower that is next to the Hays CISD PAC on Kohler's Crossing. If you can see the water tower, you will have a great view of the fireworks. Parking on paved parking lots around the intersection of Kohler's and Kyle Parkway are the safest locations. The approximately 20 minutes of "ooohs and ahhhs" will cap off a day of fun in Kyle. Drive safe.
Health Notice - there is smoke and small amounts of debriss that fall out of a fireworks shell. Depending on the speed and direction of the wind, this "Fallout Zone" extends from the launch site. If you wish to avoid being in the smoke and debris, please watch the show outside the fallout zone.

San Marcos Plaze Park is located on the banks of the San Marcos River at E. Hopkins Street and N. CM Allen Parkway. 
Free parking for Summerfest will be available at the San Marcos Activity Center (501 E. Hopkins Street) and Texas State’s Strahan Coliseum parking lot (Corner of Aquarena Springs Drive and Charles S. Austin Drive.)
This kid-friendly, free event will feature live music, food booths, children's costume competition and parade.

Adam Johnson Band kicks off the festival at 6 p.m. at the San Marcos Plaza Stage.

A patriotic costume contest and parade will start promptly at 7 p.m. Children’s Parade registration and line-up will begin at 6:30 p.m. Costumed kids will be judged in “most patriotic” and “cutest” divisions with prizes awarded in each category and a “best overall” named. The costume competition has been growing steadily over the last several years. Wyzer takes the stage at 7:30.

9:30 the Fireworks display starts and the Festival grounds close at 10 PM.

The show is free, but you can complete the experience in style with dinner Catered by Salt Lick BBQ at 7:00 PM
