The Show Goes on, Rain or Shine, at the Emilyann Theatre - Shakespeare under The Stars, 2007
It's been the wettest summer on record for some parts of the Hill Country, and Wimberley's daily rainstorms in July have some wondering how these happily anticipated performances can happen. The EmilyAnn Theatre has it covered...
In case of rain, performances will be held on the Danforth Junior High Stage on Texan Boulevard.

From a previous year's production... Shakespeare under the Stars participants learn to make sets, costumes, and take on many roles; a learning experience of a lifetime.
Wimberley summers always end with an entertaining finale in the form of annual productions from Shakespeare under the Stars, now in its 17th season. Held at the EmilyAnn Theatre, which was founded to provide a permanent home for these productions, Shakespeare under the Stars is the only high school accredited Shakespearean theatre in the United States.

All acting roles are filled by children no older than their graduated Senior summer. There's no minimum age for actors, but none are of college age or older. This makes it possible for children to participate in the program for ten or more years, as now is happening.

In the summer of 2007, 54 children from Wimberley, San Marcos, Canyon Lake, Dripping Springs, San Antonio, Austin and Justin will be taking the stage, playing roles in this year's productions of Twelfth Night and All's Well That Ends Well. The casts include Bailey Ayala, Conleigh Byers, Cameron Duggan, John Emmons, Grey Gibson, Heather Halstrom, Tamarind Halstrom, Kole Hayes, Jesse Hobbs, Sarah Lindsey, Mikayla McIntyre, Jackson Poe, Madelyn Poe, Jace Ragenbrecht, Brayden Ramey, Kameryn Ramey, Sydnie Ross, Madison Short, Eris Tock, Sarah Trcka, Opal Wilson.
