The 64th Annual Rodeo is
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday,
July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, 2009.

Hill country tradition, the Annual Pro-Open VFW Rodeo and PBR Bull Riding has been held for more than 60 years on the first weekend in July at the VFW's rodeo grounds just north of town on Ranch Road 12.

Once the largest outdoor rodeo in the world, the event still ranks near the top. Check out the menu below to see this year's full listing of events.

The VFW Rodeo is sponsored by VFW Post 6441, Wimberley, Texas as a not-for-profit event benefiting the community, veterans and active duty servicemen and women. Producer/stock provider for the 2009 Rodeo is Bo Davis of Gonzales, Texas.
2009 Schedule:

Thursday, July 2nd
Professional Bull Riders Assn. (PBR) sanctioned bull riding on the PBR Enterprise Tour.

Friday and Saturday, July 3rd and 4th
Cowboys Professional Rodeo Assn. (CPRA) sanctioned pro/open event (Ranked "Best CPRA Rodeo of the Year" in 2006 CPRA Hall of Fame)

TICKET INFORMATION

General admission tickets for the July 3rd and 4th CPRA Rodeo are $12 for adults and $7 for youngsters 12 and under if purchased in advance at the VFW Post (June 25 - 27 and  June 29 from noon to 6 PM). After June 29, tickets are $15/$10 and may be purchased at the gate.

General admission tickets for the July 2nd Bull Riding are $15 for adults and $7 for youngsters 12 and under if purchased in advance, and $20/$10 at the gate.

For additional information about tickets and box seat availability, call 512-847-2174. Cash, checks or major credit cards will be accepted for payment.
