Hello, I'm from the Golden Triangle area (Beaumont, Port Arthur, Orange) and my wife and I recently bought a house over in Cedar Oak Mesa, off River Road. I've been glancing at this board for some time and figured it was time to go ahead and register. We run the Dominos in Dripping Springs, my wife as general manager and I as senior driver. Before you ask, our franchisee does not have any intention of building in Wimberley. If others do, I know nothing about it. Anyway, I also work on and build computers in my spare time, which is very little nowadays. But if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask or email them. I'm glad to be in Wimberley as the triangle was not a good place to live. The crime and stupidity in that area are of epidemic preportions (sp?), and that was before the hurricane. Wimberley, however, is great!

Welcome to the party ferret and I bet secretly a lot of us wish you were going to open a Dominos in Wimberley. Sooner or later my guess is we'll see one out on the new bypass. I'm told the old Burger King is going to become an Arbys and as I look into my crystal ball I see a Sonic in our future.

Never heard of pro tools til I looked it up just now. I have dabbled in music mixing in the past though, so I'll probaby check it out if it's good stuff. As far as a Dominos on the bypass, I wouldn't bet on it. Not yet, anyway. I know for a fact that none of the franchisees that are eligible have purchased the rights to Wimberley unless the guy from San Antonio did really recently, which I doubt. The problem is demographics. The typical resident of Wimberley doesn't eat alot of pizza and the area is so spread out delivery would be a serious pain. Dripping Springs is bad enough.

Oh...great! You have worked with mix.Yes..Pro-Tools 8 is a very compicated but very effective means of recording.Of course, you still need many comp. extras to go with it.I'm using it now and will be taking it with us this summer when we move there.Maybe we could work on a couple of projects! Mahalos (Thanks) for your reply!

Welcome to Wimberley and to the neighborhood! (My family lives in the same neighborhood and settled here just a few months ago, as well.) I grew up in the Golden Triangle, as well... and I love it here in Wimberley and am only sorry I didn't get here sooner! LambsAndIvy

Golden Triangle isn't very golden any more. The unemployment rate must be twice the average of the state...I think Lumberton is the only city left in that area that's not mostly under the poverty level.
