The name isn't the thing here, obviously. (This guy is no Ima Hogg.) It's his lack of consideration for public interest, the public he purports to wish to serve. Ha! If this is an example, caveat emptor is right.I hope he loses again, this time by a hefty margin. We have enough self-serving local politicians out there right now. http://visitwimberley.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/001121.html

At this point, he is pretty much telling people what they want to hear. If he's elected, he'll have a pretty big list of promises to keep, many of which are incompatible with each other. It's interesting to follow these guys around to hear what they tell to different audiences. A lot of bluster without much substance. Not sure whether the other guy is any better, but at least his story doesn't change from audience to audience. Whether you like what he says or not, he's consistent.

After the first election, Pigg told the Wimberley View that Mac had won and that he (Pigg) had lost. Then he changed his mind. Pigg sued Mac, demanded that Mac pay the legal fees, and forced the the city into having another election. Just the flip flopping in the form of "I lost --- no --- I think I'll sue you" --- is enough for me.

What is the process of checking for voter fraud? Does someone actually check each registered voter's address? With thousands of voters, that would be a daunting task. Or, is it just a random check? All this for 2 votes??? Some people just have too much time on their hands.

I hear that Mac is a pretty good guy and is behind all that is good for Wimberleyand has done a great job since being sworn in? I read that he lost by TWO VOTES not too long ago and didn't raise sand about it when he LOST? That's GOOD ! I haven't meet either of the 2 guys though! Neighbors of mine, 3 of them that is, say that Catfish was kinda of a wavering type (wishy-washy) who voted with the majority on the School Board. That's Bad ! I imagine we'll soon find out? Bet the difference is a heck-of a-lot more than 2 votes this time?

This is good news. I wouldn't have voted for Pigg anyway but he sure lost my respect after the first election. What a waste of time and money with a lawsuit threat then forcing a new election. Big of him to concede at last with 245 votes to Mac's 415.

Well that solves the question of who the illegal voters voted for.
