Wow! Thanks, Starstruck, for the confirmation on Conley. It just goes to show you who he really represents-the developers and whoever else he gets money from. He doesn't represent the citizens of the community, that's for sure. How rude he was to other duly elected officials who actually sound like they are trying to do their job. He needs to be booted out.

Good grief!!! That video shows total disrespect for the office and the people he supposedly serves.Personal attacks on an elected judge? No public disclosure about how decisions are made on the roads? What does he have to hide? Give me a break. I thought only punks acted like that. Class shows. (As in he ain't got no...)

I'm not convinced of the power of petitions. And, I'm not sure that an apology is sufficient for Conley's behavior. I'd rather he just resign. But, bet he won't. He has little to lose here.

I respectfully disagree. He has shown a very ugly side of himself. He also made it clear he doesn't want to share public information with the public. This should raise suspicions for any informed voter.I strongly agree that he should resign but his behavior exhibits a hunger for power. Political power is addictive. We tried to get rid of him last election but he has very strong support. This may tarnish his image but some voters tend to forgive & forget if it's to their advantage to support certain candidates.

The perception of the guy from this is at the very least unprofessional - regardless of circumstance - no one should respond or communicate like that - however, not certain it is grounds for removal (self-imposed or otherwise). My grandfaher was a county commisioner for over 30 years and while I am sure he would be rolling over in his grave - I am sure it would be more so much at the sheer politics involved at the local level rather than the "surprise: of someone simply acting like a jerk.

I was just thinking. When people act so rudely like this Conley did toward elected office holders and the public who elected him he should respect, it sure seems to create an atmosphere for the crazy actions of people like those Larouche guys accusing presidents of being Hitler.(Of course those Your President Is Hitler guys probably never read history. If they can read.) That petition took on a life of its own, didn't it? Good to know some people don't tolerate uncivil behavior and actions.

Saw it here and checked out the petition every few days. Struck a chord I guess since more signatures every time. I think it's good people don't stand still for this kind of disruption to public business. Restores faith, in a way.

I agree. There's a point at which Conley has to know about the petition (my guess is that he already knows). At a minimum he has to know that, as you say, folks aren't standing still.

I've heard rumblings that Conley is loosing some of his historical support. The petition is a good idea - we need to do something. Sitting on our duff complaining won't help.
