Dear valued forum members,

We've become aware that many have found this website through the forums first. This is great, but obviously can cause some confusion.

The forums are here for discussions of noncommercial topics. But we have you covered on questions about eating establishments, too. Here's how:

The guides in the left column of this and all pages include a Food & Dining category. This is where VisitWimberley.com still offers a free listing to restaurants. For a small fee, businesses also have the option of including a link to the business website with menus, serving times, location, and more.

This is how the website is organized and visitors usually appreciate the ease of finding a business in the guides using the search or the alphabetical order of the listings.

We invite you to explore the full website and hope you discover much to enjoy and inform.

Welcome to the website, and thank you.

PS: Due to the transient nature of food establishments in the area, unfortunately, a new dining choice is usually not added immediately as a Free Listing. Adding only those with some longevity, or those willing to demonstrate they intend to stick around by investing in a link, enables us to continue offering free listings for now.

We appreciate your patience and support and enjoy viewing your comments and exchanges. This is an unusually nice (and well informed) forum community in a world where studies are now showing that people are more and more likely to become hostile and abusive in such venues.

Thank you for your courtesy and understanding.

Gee, funny you should mention it but even after all my years here I've never clicked on that link. Even when I started my restaurant Starstrucks Cedar Burgers (it failed).
These things are good to know especially in light of the fact that we are usually all charged up with opinions when we show up here.
I agree with my fellow posters that this is an informative place. I've had opinions formed or changed based on posts in the forums, even my vote. I guess we all need to remember good manners and common sense when we post. Thank you for the reminder.

Dear Moderator, the wording in the Agreement is, and I quote, "Commercial messages or solicitations disguised as conversation may not be posted!"

I would suggest that language does in fact not prohibit actual discussion of a business or service provider. What it would prohibit is me owning business X saying Hey Business X located at is really good!

When I posted requesting assistance finding a local jeweler to size my wedding ring, the good members made suggestions, and one of those suggested did great work. So that use of the BB aided the community. My ring is fixed, and the jeweler got a customer for life, and all the money (what litle they charged) stays in the community, where they will buy things and pay bills keeping my few dollars in circulation, again, aiding the community.
