My family and I would like to thank the Wimberley EMS Dept. I apologize for just now posting this although I did send an e-mail after our situation, praising the EMT's that came to our home recently. A loved one became very ill/dehydrated during the night. It came on very quickly and got worse and worse as the hours passed by. As things continued to get worse, I got scared. We held off in the beginning thinking this was a quick 24 hr. stomach bug, but it wasn't. It turned out to be a serious case of food poisoning. I called EMS and they arrived very quickly, came in, did an assessment and gave my loved one I.V. fluids as well as a nice shot for the nausea. A trip to the ER where we would most likely have spent many hrs. was avoided. Within an hr. everything was so much better. These Wimberley EMT'S were so professional and reassuring. They made my loved one and me feel so much better. It was such a comfort having these professionals come to our home and help us. Thank you Wimberley EMT'S from the bottom of my heart. You are truly wonderful people, in doing the job that you do, helping people. We really appreciate you.
