Can anyone tell me how much these rains have helped the water levels in the aquifers or water tables around here? I hope a lot. It's hard to find a measurement report I can understand. Like, what is normal, how low did we get this summer, how high are we now? Thank you. Sydney

Wimberley Watershed Association headquartered at Dancing Waters knows more about that than anyone in Wimberley. Call David Baker there or Joe Day at Lookout Mountain. They are just discovering it does not take as long for water to get into the aquifer as previously thought. So much for the slow percolation through the limestone carefully cleaning naturally all the water in the aquifer. Makes you wonder about what is running off pesticided lawns and the pavement of gasoline stations...huh? Three cheers for all those leading the way to being more informed about our watershed. PSG
