Where did the water from Jacobs Well go, since its outflow (Cypress Creek) has not been flowing under Jacobs Well Road for weeks? I was told, by someone that should know, that a property owner has dammed up the creek before the road. I would think the dam would be topped by now. Is the water being diverted somehow? It is interesting that water from the creek still flows over the little dam behind Inoz, where does that water come from? Is someone pouring city water into the creek or is it leaking pipes?

The water is still flowing at the Jacobs Well bridge. It may not be noticeable to the eye but as long as the well flows, so does the creek.

Thanks! I was confused by the fact that the water level at the bridge had lowered by about a foot. I went down there this afternoon and the water is definitely flowing through the culvert in the dam just downstream of the bridge. Apparently someone or something unclogged the culvert last month and the water went down. The well (spring) is only flowing at 1 cubic foot per second. That is a very low flow and yet we continue to stress the aquifers with no water restrictions. Be sure and take some pictures of the Jacob’s Well, Cypress Creek and Blue Hole, because they may be all we have in the future.
