After my posting this, I've found two more scorpions in the house. Not to mention the big fella early this morning.

Seems like every bug and varmint known to the Hill Country is showing up this year. I seen a tarantula on the inside portico leading into the P.O. Thing looked to be as big as my hand.

We've seen a few tarantulas too but calmed down when we learned a few years ago they rarely bite (never if you leave them alone) and the bite is dangerous only to people who have allergic reactions like any other insect bite. They look mighty impressive though. I usually give them some space but some people keep them as pets. (?!)http://insects.tamu.edu/fieldguide/cimg366.html I think what we've been seeing the last couple of weeks are male tarantulas out cruising for some lady action. It's around that time of year.
