In 2000, a designated portion of Wimberley including the central
area became an incorporated municipality, the Village of
Wimberley. Only seven years later, in June, 2008, the name of the
municipality was changed to the City of Wimberley. In real life,
Wimberley is referred to as both the Village and City of
Wimberley, and wherever you see links to the Village of Wimberley
information below or on maps available on this website, it will
reference information for the defined municipality.
