Dan Williams has been one of the most active members of the Wimberley Lions Club during his years of service. He has exemplified the Lions motto,"We Serve," as he held various positions on the Board of Directors and especially as Club President in 2005. He has been a terrific communicator and always replies almost immediately to email or phone communications.
His accomplishments include:
- Conducting the planning and grant applications for an international sight program with LCIF
- Initiating efforts to make the Boards of the Lions Club and Lion Charities the same and also to obtain a 501(c)3 status for Lions Charities
- Establishing valuable communications with the Village of Wimberley and TXDOT relative to the bridge and road construction problems
- In addition to his duties as President, Dan worked a full day at each Market - a four-hour shift at the Leasing Manager's station and then filling in where needed the rest of the day
- When Dan stepped down as President he became Market Leasing Manager, a job that includes editing Market Day News online. He also edits the news page on our Lions Club website and publishes bulletins of the club activities and meeting notes.
