Wimberley Pie Social Time, with Contests, Entertainment, Art, Food and A Raffle!

The Wimberley Pie Social is a wonderful small town event. An annual event sponsored by the Wimberley Institutes of Culture, it's a great time to visit with friends and relax on a Sunday afternoon with good food and good music in a delightful surrounding.
Pie wasn't the only thing going at the 2006 Pie Social! Here's more:
- Entertainment was provided by the Little Divas and other local performers
- Art, "Wimberley Impressions", from several of Wimberley's newest artists was available for viewing and sale
- There were raffle items and a silent auction for a unique "engagement" quilt
- Hot dogs and potato chips were on sale as well as the pie and drinks
The Pie Contest for adults includes five yummy categories...apple, nut, fruit, chocolate, and cream. There's also a category for children under 12 years of age. Entries are judged by local judges on appearance, quality, and taste and awards are given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category and an overall grand prize.
Admission is $5.00 per person which pays the entry fee as well as a slice of pie of your choice and a drink. Hope to see you there next year!
