Wimberley EMS

is a 911 EMS service that was established in 1976. We now have 13 full-time paramedics and staff 2 ambulances 24 hours a day. Wimberley EMS covers over 200 square miles of the beautiful Wimberley valley in western Hays County, Texas which includes the communities of Wimberley, Woodcreek and portions of Driftwood. We serve an estimated population of 16,000 and run approximately 1600 calls a year. Wimberley EMS proudly serves the citizens of all of our communities and is dedicated to providing them with the finest in pre-hospital emergency care. services Wimberley EMS is licensed through the Texas Dept. of State Health Services to provide two BLS ambulances with MICU capabilities, 24 hours a day 365 days a year. These ambulances are staffed by two highly trained and experienced EMT- Paramedics, this staffing model provides our citizens with the highest level of care available in EMS. All of our staff are expected to attend continuing education classes that far exceed the minimum national standard. All of Wimberley EMS ambulances are fully stocked with the latest state of the art equipment and supplies. In addition to our equipment and staffing, Wimberley EMS utilizes progressive treatment protocols under the watchful eye of our medical director.
