The
Blanco is usually beautiful and safe for swimming and relaxing in the
water, but nature in Central Texas is notoriously whimsical. This means
that certain conditions can make it advisable to enjoy the view rather
than climb into the river. It's a good idea to assess the color of the
water and to stay informed about previous weather conditions in using
the Blanco for recreational purposes. The Wimberley
Valley Watershed Association may have helpful reports posted
showing bacterial measurements.
