In the Valley, in the Valley called Wimberley,
‘Twas the night before Christmas and nary a pickup
Nor a creature was stirring, not even a buck;
The stock tanks were filled with care,
Expecting Reindeer soon would be there;
The children were hunkered down in their bunks,
They’d been dreamin’ of St. Nick for months;
And Mama in the kitchen and me in my shop,
Had jus’ put away the evenin’s schnaps.
When out in the hills there rose such a clatter,
Th’ entire valley wondered what was the matter.
