Away to the Square I flew like a flash,
Coffee mugs, straw ‘n stuff bouncin’ off the dash
The moon hung on Old Baldy like a wreath,
Giving the shine of mid-day to EmilyAnn beneath.
Then, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature Chevy dually screamin’ in top gear,
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a second it must be St. Nick.
More rapid than vultures on a cold carcass he came,
And he whistled, and shouted and called my name…
”Hey Bubba! Hey Bubba!...lead me on!
I been lost in these hills for an eon!
To Skyline Drive!...To Paradise Valley!
Let’s git!...Can’t shilly shally!”
