Gruene Hall
Gruene Hall, right in the middle of Gruene, is the oldest continually operating dance hall in Texas! And, it looks about the same as when it opened in 1878. Especially wonderful are the many "door-sized" wall flaps that are opened on warm evenings to let the fresh air cool the two-stepping dancers. It's long been an international landmark with a stage that's hosted such greats as Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson, Jerry Lee Lewis and the Dixie Chicks. Live music is heard there about every evening and some day times.
