Luckenbach Dance Hall
Luckenbach Hall. Two things, more than anything else, have made this Hall and location about as well known as Texas Longhorns: the claim "Everybody's Somebody in Luckenbach" and the song made famous by Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings in 1977. Rustic is everywhere in Luckenbach - as is the location. There are two ways to get there from Wimberley. The fast route is via Hwy 290 toward Fredericksburg (go L on Hwy 1376) or the scenic route heading W from Blanco on Hwy 1623...in either case check directions on the web site. Main pleasures, besides just being there, are the many dances and special events held monthly (check the schedule).
