Kendalia Halle
Kendalia Halle is another really old and picturesque dance hall landmark. It was erected in 1903 for community gatherings and dances...nd has been going strong ever since. Dances are held Sat. nights (and include free BBQ tacos), but it's best to check the schedule. Easily seen left of the "Y" in Kendalia about 7 miles W. of the Hwy 473 W intersection of Hwy 281 (some 8 mi S of Blanco). Its colorful history and grounds include a large tree where rowdy drunks were chained until they sobered up.
